Copperhood Policies

Please read our reservations and cancellation policy carefully.  Reservations cannot be honored without our guests' written consent and understanding of these policies.


A deposit of 50% of your total balance is required to guarantee all reservations.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, along with personal checks and/or cash.  We do not accept out of state checks.

Cancellation Policy

Residential Cancellations:

*Residential Cancellations:Reservations are considered confirmed only after receiving the full deposit payment.  Because of our small size and the way we prepare for each of our visitors, cancellations impact us significantly. A last minute cancellation does not give us a chance to undo the arrangements we made for your stay. For these reasons, we uphold a strict cancellation policy as follows:  every change or timely cancellation is subject to $45 processing fee per package, per person. If cancellation notice (accepted via e-mail only) of more than twenty one(21) days is given, your remaining deposit will be refunded. If you cancel your reservation for any reason (including emergencies) less than twenty one (21) days but more then seven (7) days before scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule, provided that the new date is within six months of your original arrival date. We allow only one change per reservation.
Cancellations within less then 7 days of arrival will forfeit the deposit. Full payment is due at check-in. There will be no rate adjustment for late arrival or early departure so Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover these cancellation penalties, as the cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

Spa Treatments
Spa appointments require twenty-four (24) hours notice to change or cancel appointments otherwise we must charge the regular rate for the time booked.  For cancellations of multiple appointments, packages or groups, a seven (7) day notice is required.  Arriving late for scheduled appointment may deprive you of valuable treatment time.  Full rate charges will apply to all missed appointments.  We offer a wide variety of health promoting treatments and services, but they require advanced scheduling.  We encourage you to call to make appointments at least two weeks prior to your arrival to assure availability of services.

Check In/Out Time

Check out time is 11:00 a.m.  We invite you to have lunch on the day of departure.

Check in time is 3.00 p.m. to 6:00 pm.  The first meal of your stay is dinner on the day of arrival, unless you make special arrangements at the time of your booking.


We are no smoking facility.    There is a $250.00 clean-up fee for smoking in a room.

Available in the dining room during meals for guests on "classic plan" only.  We offer an extensive selection of wines and beers to complement your meal at additional charge.  Private alcoholic beverages are not allowed in our public rooms.

Casual attire prevails.  The focus here is on relaxation and pleasure.  Bring swim suits, warm up suits, athletic and hiking shoes and warm sweaters for any season.  Leave jewelry and your work and phone at home!


We offer a fixed menu of portion controlled elegant, multi-course, health conscious meals using organically and locally raised ingredients.  If you are on juice fast your juices will be extracted right before serving and elegantly presented to you.  You can expect to be served the freshest fish or shellfish, free range poultry,  seasonal produce, herbs and fruits.  Meals are served at private tables in our beautiful dining room or on the stream side veranda.

If you have food allergies, dislikes or are on special diets, please bring this to our attention while making your reservation, so we can accommodate you.

Breakfast: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m.
Dinner: 6:00p.m.

*Please check daily schedule if you are on juice fast.  No deductions for missed meals.

We are primarily an adult oriented resort.  The minimum age is 13.

Environmental Policies
We have made a life-long commitment to environmental responsibility, to reduce our impact on the environment while still protecting the high quality experience our guests expect. We like to be a spa that spreads sustainability intoall aspects of its operations.

We strive to maintain a chemical and pesticide free environment.  All rooms are cleaned with environmentally friendly cleaning products.  Guests have the opportunity to do their part to reduce energy and detergents required for daily washings by towel and linen reuse, by leaving outdoor shoes in the mud room, keeping screen doors closed (to keep out flies, moths, and mosquitoes), and refraining from smoking and using heavy personal scents in common areas.

In our purchases we support our local organic farmers and all fair trade practices.

Visitors of registered guests are required to sign-in and pay required fees.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets in our hotel rooms but we have an appartment where you can room with your pooch at additional charge of $100 per night.  We also, if it is more suitable, will be happy to assist you in making alternative arrangements.
