Grounds + Private Island
Located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, the Copperhood is a serene escape from the city. Upon entering the property gates, you are welcomed by uninterrupted mountain views.
Walk across the footbridge to our 32-acre private island and feel complete solitude. Take one of the multiple walking paths that wind through the quiet forest and lead to the rushing waters of the Esopus Creek. Pass by creek-side benches and take in the fresh mountain air.
In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In the warmer months, explore the hiking paths, play tennis on our private court, and relax on the green lawn. Surrounded by mountains, the Copperhood serves as a rejuvenating escape.
Lounges
In the lobby, sit by the warm fireplace and play a record on our vinyl player. Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea service all day.
Adjacent to lobby is our Great Room. Its expansive windows face the mountains and has direct access to the outdoor deck. With multiple seating areas with reading chairs and couches and 2 pianos, it provides the ultimate cozy lodge feel.
Hang out in our Billiards Room and play a game of pool! The billiards table and lounge seating set the tone as a night out without leaving the hotel.
Dining Space
Your group can use our commercial kitchen to prepare a meal, bring in take-out from a varied selection of local restaurants, or we can arrange catering or a private chef. At the center of the room is our wood burning fireplace with namesake copper hood.
In the warmer months sit out on the deck for mountain side dining. The dining room stays open to use at your leisure throughout the day. Ask us for our recommended list of nearby restaurants - we’re a short drive from some of the areas best dining!
Spa
Our relaxing spa serves as the perfect getaway. Enjoy our all-season heated indoor pool, hot tub, steam room, Finnish dry sauna, yoga studio, and fitness center. In the warmer months, lay out on our mountain-facing deck.
Access to the spa facilities is included for all guests of the hotel. You may also add on an ala carte massage, facial, or private fitness class during your stay.
